American Vintage was born in 2005, which means that, this year, it’s turning … 20! For this special occasion, a variety of events will be popping up in-store and online.

A documentary video
For almost four months, German director Nicholai Fischer followed American Vintage founder and CEO Michaël Azoulay on a journey throughout France and abroad. Together, they travelled to Marseille, Signes, Paris, Los Angeles, Antwerp, London and Brussels to meet key players in the American Vintage world.
A perfect way to retrace the brand’s 20-year history. On the programme: AMV’s roots in Marseille, the first offices, the first stores, the important moments and a trip to the United States. The result? An authentic documentary that you’ll want to watch again and again.

An international birthday tour
To kick off this anniversary in style, the brand visited six cities around the world — Paris, London, Amsterdam, Shanghai, Los Angeles and Marseille — to organise one-of-a-kind parties reflecting each city. Food, music and activities: in short, a fantastic anniversary extravaganza – in six steps.

Online and in-store events
All year long, an innovative café space will take up residence in no less than 28 stores in AMV’s network. In a selection of cities worldwide, guests can receive balloons and enter various contests to try their luck at winning a wide range of surprises. The paper edition of the 20th Anniversary AMV Journal will also be available at points of sale.
Online, the festivities will continue until December: on the 20th of each month, 20 winners will take home gifts featuring the 20 YEAR stamp, by participating in contests on the American Vintage site and social networks.

New openings
This year, three stores will open in the United States (in Palo Alto, Los Angeles and Boston), two in Hong Kong and nine in China (in Ningbo, Beijing, Wuhan, Shenyang, Shanghai, Chengdu, Suzhou and Hangzhou). An international presence that will also be reinforced in Europe, with inaugurations planned in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain and France. The Marseille Davso, Paris Vieille du Temple, Paris Tiquetonne and London Marylebone shops will get a makeover for the occasion as well …
