Destination Taiwan
If his name sounds familiar, it’s because Basile Pelletier won the 2024 AMV Photo Prize during the 39th edition of the Hyères International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories. The artist now presents Un temps pour vivre, a series of photos taken in Taiwan.
“I was very inspired by the work I did for my thesis, dedicated to Taiwan New Cinema. I explored states of waiting and wandering, as well as moments caught between childhood and adulthood. I only work on film: in these images, you’ll find nods to certain feature films. It’s up to the viewers to decipher them,” he explains.
