American Vintage takes you behind the scenes to see how its essentials are made. In this ‘AMV Factory Tour’ video series, we meet the women and men behind the Marseille brand: a focus on know-how and personal snapshots rolled into one. For this first episode, we head to Portugal, where our cottons are manufactured.

A trusting relationship
This Portuguese factory has been working with American Vintage for years. “It’s a real partnership and an honour to have worked together for such a long time. For us, AMV is more than a client; it’s a friend! In fact, I often say that the best part of my day is when we receive the first American Vintage orders,” shares Pedro, Managing Director. Today, he’s working with Manuel, in charge of jersey knitwear, and Liliana, who handles 100% organic cotton knitwear. Not to mention Olida, who explains how the T-shirts, sweatshirts and joggers are produced – from the computerised fabric cutting to the final inspection.

AMV Journal is a space dedicated to encounters, discovery and travel. Every week, explore the musts, portraits and inspirations of American Vintage and its creation studio.
