Once again, the Villa Noailles welcomed the Hyères International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories. This 37th edition, which took place from 14 to 17 October 2022, showcased no less than 10 photographers, (notably) in the running for the American Vintage Photography Award.

Partner of the festival for six years now, American Vintage supports young talents with a dedicated prize. This year, the American Vintage Photography Award went to Vietnamese photographer Chiron Duong, who lives in Ho Chi Minh City. He was selected by the photography jury, presided over this year by Belgian visual artist Pierre Debusschere. The honoured photo reflects the artist’s colourful world, mixing fashion inspirations with a nod to his culture.

In the upcoming year, the artist will produce a fashion series with American Vintage, which will be presented at the 2023 edition of the Hyères Festival. Last year, Sergei Pavlov walked away with the American Vintage Photography Award. This year, he presented his series of poetic shots, entitled “Sea Songs” in the Villa Noailles.
