This autumn/winter season, dark colours are interspersed with touches of burgundy. An intriguing shade that might become a new chromatic obsession, which you’ll see in our crushes of the moment.

#1: AMV burgundy
For autumn/winter 2025-2026, a selection of iconic American Vintage pieces dress up in burgundy. This includes SONOMA and HOKTOWN for men, and MASSACHUSETTS and IZUBIRD for women. Mahogany, Grape, Rust and Cherry: red comes in several shades, to wear from head to toe or to pair up with more mineral tones.

#2: Shane Gabier’s bookends
New York-based artist Shane Gabier draws inspiration from different horizons—post-modern design, the 70s, the psychedelic movement and Brutalist architecture … His creations highlight mineral colours, but also focus on materials and textures. These two bookends are a perfect example.
#3: Matthew Eguavoen’s paintings
A self-taught artist from Nigeria, Matthew Eguavoen excels at depicting mental health issues, family and gender inequality in his paintings. He explores these themes in portraits with a mixture of techniques. The canvases have many points in common (both in terms of form and content), notably the use of the colour burgundy. Like this one, entitled I Understand Now, completed in 2024.

#4: Jochen Lempert’s book
Before establishing himself as a photographer, at age 31, Jochen Lempert started his career in biology, specifically studying dragonflies. Several years ago, his photos were exhibited in Italy, accompanied by a lovely bound catalogue. In Two Poems, Seven Pairs, we find his photography work, of course, but also his poetic texts.
#5: Twin Peaks, the series
This cult series from the 90s needs no introduction. Dreamt up by David Lynch, Twin Peaks continues even today to win over fans of horror and the bizarre—notably with its iconic red room. But if this isn’t really your thing, try In the Mood for Love, with its slow-motion shots and haunting music, which will definitely pull at your heartstrings.
