1/ For the local cuisine
Head to Cherchez La Femme, north of the Acropolis. Located across from the Cathedral of Athens, this restaurant is all about tradition. Dishes highlighting local products are served in a chic setting that sparkles with candlelight in the evening.

Calling all fans of one-of-a-kind pieces: you’ll be in heaven in the Monastiraki neighbourhood. Simply stroll down the wide avenues, as well as the little alleyways and aisles of the flea markets.
3/ For the (new) museums
While it’s impossible to skip the major archeological sites of the city, we also highly recommend the National Museum of Contemporary Art of Athens. Here, you’ll see another side of Greece – and discover the new artistic scene.
