Hyeres Festival, Step 2

33rd International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories in Hyères

Passionate about diverse art forms, American Vintage partners with the Hyères Festival for the second year in a row. Once again, the brand is organizing its photography award, which distinguishes an artist whose photograph showcases a selection of American Vintage pieces. The winner – who will follow in the footsteps of 2017 winner Luis Alberto Rodriguez – will receive 15,000 euros. The collaboration will continue beyond the villa Noailles, as the winner will then create a photo series for American Vintage, to be exhibited in autumn.

In honor of its partnership with the Hyères Festival, the brand designed a unique piece this year inspired by the modern garden with its cubist shapes created at the villa Noailles by architect Gabriel Guévrékian. Unisex and oversized, with three-quarter sleeves, this 100% cotton T-shirt is true to the DNA of the brand, which is in love with freedom and comfort. Elegant and authentic embroidery represents the vibrant colors of the garden: blue, red, green and golden yellow, but also the vegetation and checkerboard geometry that make this such a singular and innovative space. In addition to being a nod to the brand’s basics, this piece is notably an opportunity to build a bridge between Gabriel Guévrékian’s garden and American Vintage.

Both feature bold and harmonious shapes and colors, while maintaining a timeless character. American Vintage supports the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories in Hyères. For each T-shirt purchased, €10 will be donated to the villa Noailles.

Available for purchase from April 23, 2018 at the villa Noailles, a selection of American Vintage stores and the brand e-shop.
