American Vintage makes room for men

In recent years, men’s collections have expanded in the American Vintage wardrobe. A closer look.

For several years now, American Vintage has aimed to blur the lines and put unisex at the heart of the collections. This vision also led to the development of men’s lines and the opening of American Vintage Homme stores all over France (seven to date).

“Today, men borrow pieces from women’s wardrobes and vice-versa. It’s important for us to have a continuity between the collections: we put a lot of thought into making looks that can be worn in a duo, between friends or lovers.”

— Michaël Azoulay, CEO of American Vintage

Outfits, suits and joggers? There’s all this and much more in the men’s wardrobe at American Vintage. These flowing pieces feature materials that are already a hit with women: fleece, napped cotton and waffled fabrics. As for the colour palette, it was designed to sync up perfectly with the existing offer, season after season.

Denim, as hot as ever

Like white T-shirts, jeans have always played a starring role in the brand collections. For men, the cuts take up cult 90s shapes. Timeless pieces that never go out of style, like the jogger and the Straight jeans. Not to mention the Carrot and Big Carrot fits, with a new twist. As well as a 5-pocket version that exists only for men: the Straight Worker, which is short, slightly high-waisted and with straight legs.
