Every day since 31 May, American Vintage has hosted an exhibition event right at the heart of the most creative city in China: Chengdu.

Just steps away from our store, the festivities got off to a great start in the gardens of Regular, an essential cultural space in Chengdu. A hundred or so special guests enjoyed a DJ set, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, before going home with some exclusive goodies. What better way to set the tone?
Music, fashion and scenography rolled into one
The project revolves around music and the local art of living. The Marseille brand asked musician collectives to record new tracks … and to have their pictures taken, dressed in AMV — with the portraits displayed on site.
A month to discover the universe
The concept will continue throughout June, interspersed with live performances, interactive installations and creative workshops. A universe that can also be discovered on American Vintage’s social networks, with lots of video content. A great way of showing that Chengdu has been a force to be reckoned with on the Chinese creative scene for many years now — due mainly to its unstoppable energy. Its unique relationship to music and art echoes the values that have always been dear to AMV.
