AMV x Summer Rambo beanie capsule

In 2021, Claudia Cauriand, a former stylist at American Vintage, launched Summer Rambo, a brand that focuses on upcycling. Today, she returns to the AMV headquarters, this time to create a knit beanie capsule made from prototypes.

A second life for AMV knitwear

152. This is the number of beanies created by Summer Rambo for American Vintage. “I wanted to create an item that would generate the smallest amount of leftover fabric,” explains Claudia. She points out that she is also thinking about making a piece with any surplus fabric. With this initiative, 83 coloured AMV knitwear prototypes, get a new lease on life: “We wanted this beanie to be as timeless as the colours, which fit perfectly into the 2023-2024 autumn/winter collection.”

A 100% French process

The production starts in Marseille. This is where Claudia selects the knitwear and cuts out the pieces. These pieces are then sent to Paris, where they are assembled in the L’Unique Façon workshop. Then, they return to the south of France, where the labels are sewn on by hand.

Where can you find the beanies

In all, you can find three references and a palette of seasonal shades in 11 American Vintage stores in France and the UK: Marseille Davso, Aix-en-Provence, Cannes, Paris Vieille-du-Temple, Bordeaux, Biarritz, Toulouse, Lyon, Paris Saint-Sulpice, Paris Temple and London Covent Garden. A very limited edition of about 100 pieces.
