Down to the very last detail, it’s all about emotion. To choose the right materials, you must set off on an adventure. Close your eyes, reach out your hand and let yourself be guided. This season, the sensory experimentations of the American Vintage creation studio honor naturalness and sensual perceptions. Chosen for the sensations that they incite, the materials of this new summer wardrobe are a feast for the eyes but also (and especially) a pleasure to touch.
American “Pima” cotton
In ultra-fine jersey, “Pima” cotton, the most beautiful cotton variety in the world, is worn directly against the skin. This cotton cashmere comes in flowing tops, second-skin dresses and airy tees in bright colors to layer together.
Italian yarns
Sourced in Italy, these resilient and soft yarns add an extra dose of comfort to summer sweaters, button-up cardigans and other cozy pieces. With their incomparable quality, they prolong the wear of clothing.
Cupro
The sensation of wearing nothing. In a “lingerie” spirit, cupro – a fiber derived from cotton seeds wrapped around a viscose yarn – glides over the skin like water. This featherweight material is our creation studio’s favorite for the sunny season.
Japanese fabric
With its crease-proof drape and luminous shimmers, Japanese fabric adds a luxurious touch to the pieces of this new collection. A mix of technical materials or acetate team up with Lyocell, a eucalyptus or bamboo fiber, to fall perfectly against the body.
