The wine trail, in Switzerland
A wine-growing region since Roman times, the southern part of Lake Leman has become a coveted spot for hikers in recent years. On the programme: small villages overlooking blue waters, winery visits, gourmet stops and a train ride.

Peak Boby, in Madagascar
Stretching 2,658 metres high, the top of Peak Boby looms over the area. Several trails can take you there, but we definitely recommend an option with a round-trip distance of less than 10 kilometres — perfect for enjoying the landscapes before returning to the city.

Milford Track, in New Zealand
If you’re a hiking nut, you probably already know about this trail, one of the most famous ones in the world. You’ll walk no less than 53 kilometres in 4 or 5 days (depending on your level). In general, hikers start at the north of Lake Te Anau. The trail promises a view of some of the most beautiful natural settings in the world.

Daisetsuzan, in Japan
Nestled on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, this national park spans over 2,200 square kilometres. Peaks meet plateaus, fumaroles, marshes and lakes — but also hot springs. The perfect setting to go hiking. Don’t forget your water bottle and something to provide shade if needed.
