January resolutions

You’ve survived Christmas and New Year’s and gained some lovely family memories along the way, but perhaps some love handles as well… Now it’s time for some resolutions and a few tips to help you keep them!

To succeed in a project, the secret is to find and maintain your motivation! Write down your goals and break them down into steps in order to achieve them. Be sure to talk to your friends about this and make them an external source of motivation. How to lose those love handles? Fill a super shaker with a good dose of exercise, a healthy diet, but also a big splash of motivation and personal development to make this year even better.

Don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.

It’s time to take up those good habits again and say goodbye to that remaining chocolate. Tell it that you love it but that every couple needs balance and that, although things were magical between you two at first, in high doses, it just drags you down. So, tell it that you’re taking a break and that maybe you’ll meet again next Christmas. Right now, there are so many colourful, tangy, sweet and zesty fruits and vegetables to choose from. There’s something for everyone!

Focus on nutrition

Make the most of seasonal vegetables to cook up a soup or whip up a detox smoothie, which offer tons of benefits with their antioxidant and detoxifying properties.

Seasonal vegetable detox soup: 1 leek, ½ green cabbage, 1 turnip, 2 carrots, 1 branch celery, 1 clove of garlic, ¼ winter squash. Cover with water, simmer for 30 minutes, mix and it’s ready. Yum!

Detox smoothie: 200 g pineapple, ½ lemon, 2 handfuls fresh spinach, a few sprigs of parsley, 150 ml water. Mix, then strain. Now you have a super green juice overflowing with antioxidants.

Focus on well-being.

Meditation: every day, take time out for yourself. If you simply don’t have the time, then mindfulness meditation is for you. While you walk, work, do odd jobs or go about your daily business, try to concentrate your attention on the present moment. If your mind wanders, then bring it back to your present activity. Thanks to this exercise, you will soon be able to fully master your thoughts and emotions.

Focus on sport

Pull out your best trainers and workout gear and get ready to sweat. For 20 minutes, do this series of exercises as many times as you can: 20 squats, 20 mountain climbers, 20 burpees and 20 bridges. Give it your all. Your efforts will be rewarded!
