From 28 September, the artist is proud to present Scènes d’horloges, a new exhibition specially designed for American Vintage.

When Gabriel Mrabi won the American Vintage Photography Award in Hyères last year, he already had an idea of the series that he would put together for the Marseille brand. This month, the artist presents Scènes d’horloges, which means “Clock Scenes”, showcasing photos tinged with surrealism.
“I’ve always felt a very strong connection with Luis Buñuel. I’ve visited many of his film shoot locations, particularly in Mexico. This pilgrimage took me all the way to the Villa Noailles, whose first owners (who lent their name to the place) generously supported the filmmaker’s projects. So, it’s a real honour for me to dedicate one of my series to it. I’m convinced that some things are a result of metaphysics. With this work, I wanted to summon Marie-Laure Noailles, but also to stop the clocks, because time passes too quickly,” he explains.
