“I’m crazy about breakfast. It’s my favourite meal of the day. A few years ago, I completely changed my eating habits. After spending countless evenings scrolling on social networks, on the lookout for recipes, I finally found my ideal breakfast: granola. This recipe was actually tested and approved by the American Vintage product team!”

Ingredients
500 g grain flakes (oat, buckwheat, rice)
300 g nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts, hazelnuts)
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 pinch salt
4 tbsp applesauce (unsweetened)
2 tbsp nut butter (e.g. peanut butter)
1 tbsp honey
100 g dark chocolate (minimum 70%)
Preparation
1 — Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
2 — In a large bowl, add the grain flakes, chia seeds, salt and roughly chopped nuts.
3 — Next, add the liquid ingredients: applesauce, nut butter and honey. Mix well.
4 — Spread the preparation on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
5 — Bake for about 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
6 — When the mix is golden brown, it’s ready!
7 — Let cool before adding the chocolate chips.
8 — Store in an airtight container.
A tip when making this recipe at home: “This recipe has so much going for it: it’s easy to make, inexpensive and, more importantly, you can tweak it each time, depending on your mood and what you have in the pantry. You can also prepare it in advance and keep it for several weeks.”
